I. Working Principle and Structure of the DSM Screen

The DSM screen consists of a stainless steel curved or flat filter surface, made from precision-manufactured wedge-shaped steel bars. Wastewater to be treated is evenly distributed across the inclined screen surface through an overflow weir.

Due to the small and smooth gaps on the screen surface and larger gaps on the back, the water drains smoothly and is not easily blocked. Solid substances are intercepted while filtered water flows through the gaps in the screen plate. Under hydraulic action, solid substances are pushed to the lower end of the screen for discharge, achieving solid-liquid separation.

Function of the DSM Screen: This equipment effectively reduces the concentration of suspended solids in the water, reducing the processing load for subsequent stages. It is also used in industrial processes for solid-liquid separation and the recovery of valuable materials. The hydraulic screen is an excellent energy-free device for filtering or recovering suspended, floating, or sedimented solid or colloidal substances.

Used for pre-treatment in sludge or river dredging operations.
