The Wedge Wire Basket primarily consists of a connecting pipe, body, filter basket, flanges, flange cover, and fasteners. Installed in pipelines, it removes larger solid impurities from the fluid, ensuring the normal operation of machinery and equipment (such as compressors, pumps, etc.) and instruments. This stabilizes the process and ensures safe production.

When the fluid enters the Wedge Wire Basket through the body, solid impurity particles are trapped inside the basket, while clean fluid passes through and exits via the filter outlet. For cleaning, unscrew the plug at the bottom of the main pipe to drain the fluid, remove the flange cover, clean the basket, and reinstall it. This makes the filter very convenient to use and maintain.

Installation and Maintenance:

The Wedge Wire Basket is generally installed horizontally, with the direction of the inlet and outlet aligned with the arrows on the valve body.
After the filter has been in operation for a period, certain impurities will have accumulated in the filter element, increasing the pressure drop and decreasing the flow rate. It is necessary to promptly clean the impurities from the filter element.
When cleaning impurities, take special care to avoid deforming or damaging the stainless steel mesh on the filter element. Otherwise, the filter will not achieve the designed purity, potentially damaging compressors, pumps, instruments, and other equipment.
If the stainless steel mesh is found to be deformed or damaged, it must be replaced immediately.
