Rotary Drum Screen

The rotary drum screen, also known as an automatic rotary drum microfiltration machine, is a drum-type screen filtration device primarily used for solid-liquid separation in the early stages of wastewater treatment systems. It is a mechanical filtration device composed of main components such as a transmission device, overflow weir distributor, and flushing water device, with the filter screen structure and working principle based on stainless steel wire mesh.

Working Principle

The treated water enters the overflow weir distributor through the water pipe, flows evenly out of the outlet after a short period of stable flow, and is distributed onto the rotating filter drum screen in the opposite direction. The water flow generates relative shear motion with the inner wall of the drum, resulting in high water flow efficiency and the separation of solids. The solids are then discharged from the other end of the drum by rolling along the spiral guide plate inside the drum. The wastewater filtered out by the filter screen flows away from the underside of the drum through the outflow troughs on both sides of the drum under the guidance of protective covers. The machine is equipped with a flushing water pipe outside the drum, which uses pressure water (3 kg/cm2) to spray in a fan-shaped manner to flush and clear the filter screen, ensuring that the filter screen always maintains good filtration capacity.
