How to Manufacture a Wedge Wire Screen Basket
To reduce the risk of slot clogging, the wedge wire screen slots are designed with a smaller opening at the top and a wider opening at the bottom. The slot size typically ranges from 0.35 mm to 0.8 mm, and can be customized according to user requirements.
Based on technical specifications and user demands, stainless steel wires of different specifications and models are selected and rolled on specialized equipment to form the required profile wires and support rods. The profile wires and support rods are then welded into a screen panel on dedicated equipment according to the required slot size.
After quality inspection, the finished screen panel is fabricated into fan-shaped segments. Using a specialized forming mold, the fan-shaped segments, upper and lower flanges, reinforcing ribs, and reinforcement rings are assembled and welded into the screen basket. The key focus during this process is to control welding deformation. Therefore, during assembly and welding in the specialized mold, each component must be accurately positioned and securely clamped. After welding is completed, the basket must be cooled and set before demolding. Finally, the basket undergoes a dynamic balancing test on a balancing machine.
